FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Harbortouch Receives Awards in Two Categories from 2013 Best in Biz Awards

ALLENTOWN, PA (11/20/13) – Point-of-sale system provider Harbortouch today announced that the company was named a winner in two categories from the 2013 Best in Biz Awards, the only independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts.

The company was named a Silver Winner in the Most Innovative Service of the Year category for Lighthouse, a cloud-based POS management and reporting tool that enables business owners to access reports or make changes to their menu from any computer with an internet connection.

Harbortouch was also named a Bronze Winner in the Product Line of the Year category for the company’s Harbortouch Elite POS systems. Harbortouch Elite is a full-featured touch-screen POS system providing an integrated platform for sales, inventory and personnel management customized for restaurants and retail businesses. The intuitive software and high-quality hardware produce a robust system for managing orders and sales, overseeing personnel, tracking inventory, and generating financial performance reports that can help businesses improve efficiency and boost their bottom line.

The third annual Best in Biz Awards program, focusing on companies based or operating in North America, was the most competitive in its history, with the highest number of awards submissions to date and the most distinguished judging panel yet assembled. More than 500 entries were received this year, from a wide array of public and private companies of all sizes and from a variety of industries and geographic regions in the U.S. and Canada. Winners were announced Wednesday, November 20, after being selected by an independent panel of 51 judges from top-tier news, business and technology publications, as well as broadcast outlets and analyst firms, such as Bloomberg Businessweek, Computerworld, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Financial Times, Fortune, Inc. Magazine, PC Magazine, and USA Today.

This is the second year in a row that Harbortouch was honored by the Best in Biz Awards. In 2012 it earned a Silver Award in the Small or Medium Business Product of the Year category for its Harbortouch POS System. These awards also follow a Gold Award earned by Harbortouch last month from the Golden Bridge Business Awards for the company’s Elite POS system.

Harbortouch offers its POS systems to merchants with no upfront costs for the hardware, software, installation or set-up. Customers are only responsible for a low monthly service fee. Harbortouch provides custom programming, professional installation, onsite training, and 24/7 customer service and technical support by phone, email and a live chat feature on the POS system. The service fee also covers lifetime hardware replacements if the equipment ever breaks or malfunctions.

“We are honored to be acknowledged once again by the Best in Biz Awards. Being honored by this prestigious organization validates the value and quality of our POS system and the program we are offering to our customers,” states Harbortouch CEO Jared Isaacman.
